What is the AFQT score on the ASVAB?

The AFQT (Armed Forces Qualification Test) score is a percentile derived from four ASVAB subtests: Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Arithmetic Reasoning, and Mathematics Knowledge. It determines basic military eligibility.

What is a good AFQT score?

A score of 50+ is considered average. 65+ is recommended for competitive Air Force and Space Force roles. The Army minimum is 31, Marines 32, Navy 35, and Air Force 65+.

How is the AFQT score calculated?

The AFQT raw score formula is: 2×(WK+PC) + AR + MK. This raw score is then converted to a percentile using Department of Defense norming tables.
